I received my starter kit... Now what?!

Welcome to my first blog post! I'm new to this, so please, I beg of you to give me a little grace.

I've had a lot of new sign ups lately, so I wanted to talk about what to do when you first receive your starter kit. First off, CONGRATS on getting the premium starter kit! I'm genuinely excited for you. I waited at the door like a little kid on Christmas morning when the Fed Ex man delivered my starter kit. I'm not even kidding.

Once you open your kit, you’ll find 11 bottles of essential oils, all of which are 5 ml's each. Each bottle of this size has about 80 drops. So, depending on how often you use it, will dictate how long it will last you. Less is more here, folks. I made the mistake when I first started of using waaaaay too much and I ran out quickly because of it. For most topical purposes, only 1-2 drops are necessary. If you're using the oils in the diffuser, you'll use more like 10 drops total of whatever oil you chose, or you can also combine oils for a total of that amount.

Next big thing you'll find in your kit is the diffuser! If purchased alone, the diffuser is around $60, so the value of your starter kit is pretty fabulous. Other competing oil companies don't offer a diffuser in the starter kit, so wise choice with YLEO. They recommend using distilled water in the diffuser, but I'll be honest, I use regular tap water. Additionally, you'll want to make sure you keep that little silver plate at the bottom of the reservoir clean. If debris builds up on it, the diffuser won't work properly. You can use rubbing alcohol to clean it off.

In the kit, you'll also find a handful of oil samples to hand out to your friends/family or to hoard for yourself. I think you know what the right thing to do is. In addition to the oil samples, you'll also see a couple packets of YL's NingXia Red drink. I've only had these samples, I haven't bought a bottle yet, but I have only heard wonderful things from people who drink it regularly. It contains an insane amount of antioxidants. Check it out on their website, it's pretty interesting.

Now, what can you use your oils for? Pretty much anything. Per the FDA, I am not permitted to list any sort of disease conditions, so you won't find that here on this website. I will allude to some things, but I can not outright say oil XXX will treat XXX. This is when your reference book/app comes in handy. USE THEM! I use mine quite frequently. Also, don't ever hesitate to contact me if you have questions. I truly enjoy doing this and helping others, so don't feel like you're bothering me. I'm not bothered in the least.

I hope you've found this helpful! Carry on.
